Jack Nicklaus' Ryder Cup career in photos

Here is a photographic look at Jack Nicklaus' Ryder Cup career. The Golden Bear was a stellar 16-8-3 as a player on six Ryder Cup teams: 1969, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1977, and 1981. He captained the US team to victory in 1983. His 1987 team fell to the Europeans, led by Tony Jacklin, 15-13

1969 Ryder Cup

1971 Ryder Cup

Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer play the 1971 Ryder Cup. They defeated Peter Townsend and Harry Bannerman, 1-up, in afternoon four-ball.

1975 Ryder Cup

Jack was part of the 1975 team that defeated Great Britain and Ireland, 21-11.

1977 Ryder Cup

Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson defeated Tommy Horton and Mark James, 5&4, in the 1977 Ryder Cup at Royal Lytham.

1981 Ryder Cup
